MLI Hub Training & Development offers quality, in-depth teacher training programmes practical, comprehensive workshops and once-off workshops, depending on your school or organisation’s requirements. Our workshops cover all grades, language levels as well as tertiary education. They can be held at your school, organisation or online. Teaching Reading

Theme: Explain the difference between learning to read in a second language at an early age and how to provide children with the background knowledge and vocabulary framework needed to thrive.
Reading is a foundational and crucial cognitive skill that needs to be developed in young children. It is a key part of learning English or another language.
These workshops give you an excellent exposure to understand the complexity involved in teaching ‘real’ reading with understanding.
Rivers (1981) said that “reading is the most important activity in any language class, not only as a source of information and a pleasurable activity, but also as a means of consolidating and extending one’s which are knowledge of the language” (p. 147).

Developing Non-Mother-Tongue English Language Teachers

Theme: These English language workshops are for non-mother tongue teachers who wish to improve their own language skills.
These practical, interactive workshops focus on further developing the English language skills of teachers. They focus on common language issues that a teacher encounters. The sessions are open to any teacher from any school.

Teachers’ Connect

An online platform where second language teachers meet monthly to dicuss classroom challeneges, share ideas, and offer mutual support.
Each meeting focuses on different topics based on members’ interests, fostering collaboration and the exchange of best practices.
